The newest 2012 Olympic Tower was finally unveiled in London. The mayor of London, Mayor Boris Johnson, just unveiled the design of the newest spectacle to be constructed for the coming London 2012 Olympics. The designer of the said Olympic tower in London was Anish Kapoor – a Turner Prize winner.

“I am deeply honored to be invited to undertake this challenging commission. I am particularly attracted to it because of the opportunity to involve members of the public in a particularly close and personal way. It is the commission of a lifetime”, Anish Kapoor said. Kapoor designed the 115-meter dark red tower very uniquely and rare. It is indeed another great landmark for London.

This new Olympic tower which was named “The Arcelor Mittal Orbit” will serve the visitors of the 2012 Olympic games as a high viewing point at its top and an amazing tower on its bottom. The tower will be on the Olympic park and if you’ll be on its top, you’ll see an uninterrupted view of the London skyline.

Mayor Boris Johnson said, “Long after the Games over our aim is to have a stunning spectacle in east London that will be recognized around the world. I’m thrilled that when visitors from every corner of the globe plan trips to our must see attractions they will now eagerly include the Arcelor Mittal Orbit.” After completion of the 19.1 million pound newest spectacle, the Olympic Park Legacy Company will take ownership of this tower and will manage it for the visitors and tourists from all over the globe.

Scotty Lago – an American Olympian who recently won a bronze medal for team USA at Men’s Snowboard Competition is now a major topic in the web buzz. Scotty Lago created a major buzz not just because he brought home a bronze medal from Vancouver 2010 but also because of his not-really-nice photos that are spreading in the world wide web.

The said photo was revealing Scotty Lago holding a bronze medal while it was being kissed by a girl. These Scotty Lago pictures made USSSA a decision to bring the athlete back to his home.

USSSA said, “Scotty Lago is a great athlete, but with that comes a responsibility of proper conduct, and his involvement in this situation is not acceptable.” The Olympic committee asked the people who are responsible to Scotty Lago to bring him back home or else, they would do it by themselves. Yes, these Scotty Lago racy photo controversy was the only reason why he was forced to leave the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.

Since Scotty Lago can’t say anything about the issue until March 3, we’re here to make you updated.
