Kin Phones by Microsoft

Microsoft has finally entered the mobile phone battle with their new Kin One and Kin Two. These two adorable phones were launched last Thursday, May 6, 2010.

Kin One and Kin Two were categorized as the phones for “generation upload”. These new phones’ features were focused on social networking sites and everything networking. Microsoft’s new phones target the younger generation today.

These two new phones were manufactured by Sharp and will be available with a price tag of $49.99 for Kin One and $99.99 for Kin Two.

Apple products such as the iPhone, iPod, MacBooks have been very famous these days. And every summer season in the US, people expect Apple to release another refresh of the old models of their products. It is a pattern. Yes, Apple product release or refresh of the earlier model were likely being released or announced during the summer heat in the US.

And this coming summer season, Wall Street Journal confirmed that Apple will be again refreshing the iPhone model, and the next iPhone will be dubbed as the iPhone HD. Reports said that Apple is working on this new model of the iPhone and still working for another model of the iPhone exclusive for Verizon.

Some sources also said that the iPhone HD will have a front-facing camera, a better OS with iPhone OS 4.0 and the much-awaited/requested third-party multitasking feature. Maybe Apple works with this better iPhone to compete with today’s high-end phones like the HTC HD2.

Update: The next-generation iPhone (or the iPhone HD) is expected to be launched this coming June 22, 2010.

The Bloom Energy Corporation (founded by K.R. Sridhar) created a great energy breakthrough that can change our world. They created the Bloom Box. Bloom Box is a like huge power-generating plant compressed in to a one small box. It can generate electricity without any connection in to electric grid.

The Bloom Box Energy Fuel Cell was said to be able to convert natural gas or other fuels into electricity. The Bloom Energy Corp. also said that with this product, they aim for the goal to have every home with a Bloom Box, so that every home can generate their own electricity.

The concept of the Bloom Box is incredibly amazing. With this technology, we can generate our own electricity from our own power plant. This can also be the answer to the always-rising-price of the oil – electricity can replace oil as a key to make vehicles move. And a vehicle without oil/gas means a city with less pollution. Bloom Box is indeed a great technological breakthrough.
