A creepy photo circulated the web in an instant, the Guatemala Sinkhole photos rumored to be released by Government of Guatemala. And on the photo, it reveals the huge and deep sinkhole that suddenly appeared in the center of a street in Guatemala City.

The Guatemala sinkhole is indeed huge and deep and fortunately, according to officials, there are no reported casualties of the said sudden incident. Sinkholes appeared in the history but not as deep as the Guatemala sinkhole. As of now this Guatemala sinkhole/crater’s deep is still unknown.

Six Killed in Upper Big Branch Mine Blast

Six killed and 21 miners still left in the Upper Big Branch mine blast area which occurred last Monday, April 5, 2010. Officials said that the Upper Big Branch mine blast occurred at about 3:00 p.m. and they said that the possible cause of the mine explosion is the methane gas built up in a sealed off area of the mine.

Rep. Nick J. Rahall II arrived in the blast site which is located in his district said that the Upper Big Branch mine blast is the second major disaster in a Massey site. Massey Energy is the company who owns the Upper Big Branch mine. And the Performance Coal Company is the operator.

The United Mine Workers of America dispatched teams to help the families of the trapped miners in Upper Big Branch even the mine is not a part of their union. The Massey Energy is now searching for the 21 missing miners too.

2012 Olympic Tower Unveiled In London

The newest 2012 Olympic Tower was finally unveiled in London. The mayor of London, Mayor Boris Johnson, just unveiled the design of the newest spectacle to be constructed for the coming London 2012 Olympics. The designer of the said Olympic tower in London was Anish Kapoor – a Turner Prize winner.

“I am deeply honored to be invited to undertake this challenging commission. I am particularly attracted to it because of the opportunity to involve members of the public in a particularly close and personal way. It is the commission of a lifetime”, Anish Kapoor said. Kapoor designed the 115-meter dark red tower very uniquely and rare. It is indeed another great landmark for London.

This new Olympic tower which was named “The Arcelor Mittal Orbit” will serve the visitors of the 2012 Olympic games as a high viewing point at its top and an amazing tower on its bottom. The tower will be on the Olympic park and if you’ll be on its top, you’ll see an uninterrupted view of the London skyline.

Double Suicide Bombing Killed 37 People in Moscow Subway

Two separate suicide bombing killed 37 people in Moscow subway. The said accident took place at two different places of the Moscow subway. The first bombing in Lubyanka Station where 25 people died and many other were injured. While the second suicide bombing which took place in Park Kultury Station killed twelve people and injured many people too.

“Terrorists will be destroyed” said by the Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. The Moscow Subway is the world’s busiest subway having over seven million passengers on an average workday.

Officials also said that the rescue people had a hard time rushing to the blast site because of the heavy traffic jam around the city of Moscow leading to another problem for injured people.

Rebellion and  terrorism are again on its fury. Reports said that the suicide bombing in Moscow subway caused a huge impact to Russians. Another traumatic incident made by terrorist/rebels struck the world.

153 Coal Miners Trapped in Northern China

A massive flood trapped 261 miners in the Wangjialing mine located at the Northern China. Reports said that 108 miners were successfully escaped from the flooded mines and 153 miners were left. These 153 miners were trapped in nine different places which was flooded with up to 5 million cubic feet of water, according to China’s state television.

Officials speculated that the possible cause of the massive flood on the mine is that maybe the miners accidentally broke a network of water-filled shafts. And some escaped miners confirmed the speculation of the officials and also said that the rushing of the water was like a huge tidal wave in the mine. It was indeed a terrible accident.

Right now, the government of China is doing their best to rescue the 153 remaining coal miners left in the flooded area. What we can do now is to pray for them.

French Hacked President Barrack Obama’s Twitter Account

Twitter has been a great micro-blogging experience for many people. And one of the users who really enjoyed Twitter was U.S. President Barrack Obama. But recently, Pres. Obama’s Twitter account was hacked by a Frenchman. This hacking caused a major buzz because this is very unusual, especially when the we’re talking about hacking an account of one of the most powerful men in the world.

FBI and French police investigated the case and eventually found the suspect. The French hacker was a 25-year old unemployed person. Reports said that the hacker said he only guesssed Obama’s Twitter account. But officials also found out that this French hacker also targeted celebrities’ Twitter account like Britney Spears.

As of now, the 25-year old French hacker was jailed for two years by the court in the central French city of Clermont-Ferrand.

6.2-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Manila, Philippines

Another earthquake hits the Earth’s surface, and this time, the city of Manila in Philippines. The Manila Earthquake hit the city this Thursday, March 25, 2010 and shocked the Filipinos. Fortunately, the center of the Manila earthquake was in the Philippine west coast. And because of this, the massive shaking of the earthquake was slightly experienced in the Philippines.

Residents said that they felt the tremor that the 6.2-magnitude earthquake brought to the area. But because of the lessen intensity of the earthquake, the interruption in the whole flow of the busy city was not that great at all, unlike in other recent earthquake occurrences in other parts of the world.

There still no official report about the Iceland volcano eruption but some residents said that the volcano erupted right after midnight, so what they did was run immediately away from the volcano.
