Recently this day, another disaster struck the Earth’s surface. The Iceland Volcano Eruption 2010 – a disturbing natural disaster that caused major interruptions in the Southern Iceland area. There still no official report about the Iceland volcano eruption but some residents said that the volcano erupted right after midnight, so what they did was run immediately away from the volcano.

Los Angeles
Another earthquake is in the headlines – the Earthquake Los Angeles. A 4.4-magnitude earthquake hit Los Angeles, California at 4:00 am. The earthquake in LA scared the people of the city because of the shaking that it made in the whole place. Earthquake Los Angeles’ epicenter was located at Pico Rivera which is 11 miles away from the area where most people of Los Angeles live.
Officials said that they were surveying the whole area to see if there are casualties of the earthquake in LA. They also said that the earthquake also caused no damages in the area’s buildings and infrastructures. They said that the infrastructures and buildings in Los Angeles were strong enough to bear the earthquake’s massive shaking.
As of now, there are no reported casualties. Earthquake Los Angeles was indeed a mild one but still, it was terrifying. More earthquake LA updates, soon.

Before dawn on Monday (March 8, 2010) Turkey was hit by a 6.0-magnitude earthquake. The epicenter of the earthquake was located at the village of Basyurt, causing at least 57 killed people in an instant. This earthquake was the second time in the history of Eastern Turkey, the first was the 6.4-magnitude earthquake that hit the village near the Basyurt, the Bingol, which killed 160 people.
The Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the main material of building the common buildings in the Basyurt was the main reason why the earthquake killed a lot of people – the sun-dried bricks.
“Unfortunately, houses made of sun-dried brick constitute the architecture in the region,” said Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The sun-dried bricks or the mud-bricks were commonly used in the area. And these bricks were easily damaged by the 6.0-magnitude earthquake.
Giuliano Stroe - the World’s strongest boy from Romania – recently broke a world record for air push-ups. Even at the age of five, Giuliano Stroe also made a world record last year for performing the fastest 10-meter hand-walk with a weight ball between his legs.
And last February 24, 2010, Giuliano Stroe broke the world record for number of air push-ups. Air push-ups is an exercise where push-ups are performed without letting your feet touch the ground. It is indeed a very hard kind of push-up but still, the boy smashed the last world record (12 air-push ups).

Binibining Pilipinas | The Pageant
The Binibining Pilipinas pageant – Philippines’ most coveted beauty pageant, will take place again this coming March 6, 2010. Twenty-four gorgeous young ladies will be competing to win three beauty titles: Binibining Pilipinas-Universe, Binibining Pilipinas-World and Binibining Pilipinas-International. The three winners will then compete internationally in different beauty pageants in different cities across the globe.

Recently, we just heard the news that a great SeaWorld trainer killed by a killer whale after a show. The said trainer was the 40-year old lady named Dawn Brancheau and was considered as one of the great trainers of the SeaWorld.
The killer whale named “Tillikum” attacked the trainer after the show. There are many speculations in the said incident. Some said that Dawn Brancheau accidentally fell at the tank and then fatally injured by a killer whale while some said that she was grabbed by Tillikum, shaking her violently and pushed her down at the tank.
